Whether it’s colleagues coming in or out of your office, locals enjoying a drink in your pub, or members working out in your gym – taking safety measures to protect people must continue now with lifted restrictions. Products like hand sanitisers have played a huge role during the Covid-19 pandemic, and will continue to do so for quite some time.
In 2008 we created AGMA Mysogel, a biocidal hand sanitiser, to support businesses in reducing the spread of infection within their spaces.
What are the benefits of AGMA Mysogel?
- High alcohol content ensures quick and effective hand sanitisation.
- Proven effectiveness against a broad spectrum of bacteria and enveloped viruses, including coronaviruses.
- EN1500, EN14476 and EN1276 compliant.
- Made in-house in the UK at an ISO 9001 certified manufacturing company.
- Contains emollients agents to leave hands feeling soft and protected.
We have two sanitisers within the range – Mysogel Citrine and Mysogel Specialist.
Designed specifically for environments such as hospitals, schools, gyms and shops, Mysogel Citrine contains 80% v/v denatured ethanol and offers a light lemon fragrance.
Designed specifically for cleanroom areas, Mysogel Specialist is clear and fragrance free, containing 70% v/v denatured ethanol, an additional 10% v/v Isopropanol and emollients for regular use.
Choosing the right hand sanitiser
Guidance from HSE on choosing hand sanitisers and surface disinfectants states that biocidal products are regulated in the UK under the Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR). This is to make sure they’re used properly and do not harm people, pets or the wider environment. Due to this process being at an early stage for hand sanitisers and disinfectants, some products need to be authorised before they can be supplied or used in the UK, while others won’t need this yet. This doesn’t mean you can’t use these products, but they won’t appear in the list of biocidal products HSE has authorised.
HSE guidance also states that you should do your own risk assessment. This includes reading any sector specific guidance, and recommend you discuss your requirements with product manufacturers to make sure a product meets your needs. It’s also incredibly important you read, understand and follow any labels and instructions.
