On the 26th September AGMA turned 50 years old. In view of this wonderful milestone, AGMA had not one, but two celebrations.

On the 27th June 2018, we closed our doors for the day and opted to take all employees to Carlisle Racecourse. We enjoyed dining in a Hospitality Box and sponsored the prestigious Carlisle Bell, the oldest sporting trophy in the world. The staff spent the day in 31 degree heat and it was a wonderful day to not be in the office.

Watching the AGMA Stablemate Carlisle Bell was amazing, especially as staff entered the Parade Ring and helped to decide ‘best turned out’. We also presented the winner with an engraved AGMA Stablemate cup. The winner was WAARIF ridden by CJ McGovern and trained by D O’Meara. This really was a special day and enjoyed by all.

For our second celebration, to say a huge thank you to all staff members, a past and present Luncheon was arranged. We invited retired colleagues and guests to celebrate. We dined on the best Fish and Chips Haltwhistle has to offer, from the Oceans Takeaway. It was lovely listening to our retirees relay stories of AGMA from near on 50 years ago. It was great to see and show the retirees how AGMA has grown and developed throughout the years.
