Meet our Production Operative, Kyle.
Kyle works at our site in Haltwhistle, Northumberland, where we develop, formulate and manufacture all of our speciality chemical products before shipping them worldwide.
With a background in construction, landscaping and telecommunications, Kyle has gained experience working within a team, alongside a variety of materials and products. This has helped him maintain a high standard when it comes to packaging and ensuring cleanliness.
We sat down to ask Kyle a few questions about his role at AGMA, his day-to-day experience and what he likes doing outside of work.
Job Role – Production Operative
What are your responsibilities?
To help produce, pack and label products, keeping them clean and ensuring I work well within my team to achieve this.
Can you describe what the team does?
We work together to manufacture chemical solutions such as cleaning products to use across a range of sectors, from Cleanroom Sanitisation and Environmental Hygiene.
What is your background/experience?
My previous background is in construction, landscaping and telecommunication engineering so I have experience in working well within a team, working with different materials/products and also manual work, which all helps me in my role at AGMA.
Describe your job in three words.
Interesting, teamwork, exciting.
If you could work in any other part of the business, where would you work?
I don’t have a specific area in mind at the moment but eventually I would like to spend some time in every department to be able to learn everything.
What is the best thing about your role/working for AGMA?
Learning the job role and currently shadowing my colleague Stu. He is incredible at what he does and I’d like to be as good as him soon. Everyday I learn something new.
What challenges do you face and how do you overcome them?
Lack of confidence at the moment but I plan to overcome this by continuing to shadow Stu and build my knowledge and therefore my confidence.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Going to the gym and spending time with my family.
