Description
Ideal for OCTG preservation and used within the industry for over 35 years, Synergen 718 can be relied upon to protect OCTG ID from harsh marine environments.
Originally developed to preserve the internal surface of OCTG in the harsh environment of the north sea, Synergen 718 is a mobile liquid of low viscosity which combines the functions of water displacement with a light WATER-RESISTANT coating. Used in conjunction with closed end thread protectors, correct surface preparation and product application, this coating will protect bare metal against corrosion, for extended periods in the most severe climatic conditions.
The dewatering properties of Synergen 718 chase moisture from the surface of internal surfaces, providing a lighter coating designed to offer long-term protection.
Synergen 718 provides a thin film protection which prevents slumping or blocking, and is compatible and non-contaminant with produced hydrocarbons so no removal is required from surface prior to use. It’s easy and inexpensive to apply, following the profile of the joints and suitable for most climates.
