Welcome Agata, Our HR & Sales Administrator

Where are you from?

I’m originally from Poland, but I’ve been living in the UK since 2018. I’ve spent time in Birmingham and Bristol, and now I’ve happily settled in beautiful Cumbria.

What led you to study Business & HR Management?

I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and Business & HR management really appealed to me because it’s all about building a positive workplace culture, supporting development, and improving business processes.

What do you like to do in your free time?

I enjoy travelling and spending time outdoors with my fiancé and our puppy. I’m also really into fitness and go to gym/boxing classes.

What are you passionate about?

I love learning new languages and am learning German so I can communicate more easily when I travel.

How do you like to wind down from your day?

I relax best with a good book and cup of tea.

How do you manage a busy day at work?

I tend to start with the biggest tasks and complete the smallest at the end. Or try to divide work into smaller tasks, so it’s easier to complete them.

What motivates you at work?

Good team work and a varied, interesting role.

What’s your earliest memory?

Walking in the park with my mum.

What book, movie, or music changed your outlook on life?

‘Deep Thinking. Where Machine Intelligence Ends and Human Creativity Begins’- Garry Kasparov.

What’s the top destination on your must-visit list?

Madonna Di Campiglio in Italy. I’ve been a few times already, but it’s somewhere I could happily visit every year. It has beautiful mountains, fantastic food and a great atmosphere.

What’s the best advice you were ever given? Who was it from?

“Never stop learning,” from a teacher of mine 10 years ago – and I know she didn’t just mean school 😉
