AGMA has commissioned a new pilot plant to develop products to solve some of the biggest challenges facing the industry today.
For more than 50 years, AGMA has been the trusted supplier of global industry leaders, developing, formulating and manufacturing everything in the UK at their site in Haltwhistle, Northumberland.
To this day, AGMA continues to develop and innovate new solutions to the challenges facing business leaders in healthcare, the life sciences, the marine industry, oil and gas, manufacturing and equine care.
For example, AGMA’s innovations in water-based coatings for OCTGs offers corrosion prevention for the oil and gas industries with fewer volatile substances than traditional solvent-based coatings, as these industries seek to move towards more eco-friendly practices and materials.
The new pilot plant will also be on the AGMA site in Northumberland, and will be used for ongoing development and testing.
What is a pilot plant?
A pilot plant is a small-scale industrial plant in which problems can be identified and solved before the full-scale plant is built.
They are extremely useful for the development and testing of chemical products, before they are ready for larger scale manufacturing.
At AGMA, products are developed by technologists who work closely with regulatory experts, to ensure compliance. Rigorous testing is critical.
The new pilot plant signals AGMA’s commitment to innovation. To keep up to date with AGMA news, sign up to our newsletter.
